What the scan checks
VowLedger identifies likely totals and line items, then looks for the vendor category, guest count, state or metro, and a named venue. Hours, staffing, travel, timing, rentals, service style and required fees add context when the quote includes them.
What an outlier flag means
A quote must fall outside the planning range before it is flagged; 25% beyond the nearest edge is marked “far” above or below. This is a transparent comparison rule—not a statistical verdict or a judgment about the vendor.
Rental-only venue prices are compared only when a comparable rental or site-fee line can be isolated. Correct any field the document formatting confused before relying on the result.

Yes. The quote scanner, venue finder, comparison workspace and planning guides are free to use. Vendors cannot pay to change a benchmark or improve their position in venue results.
Does my wedding quote leave my device?
No. Quote files and pasted text are read in your browser and are not uploaded to or saved by VowLedger. Optional analytics never receives quote text, files, vendor names, exact prices, search terms or precise locations.
How accurate are the wedding price benchmarks?
They are source-linked planning reference points, not exact appraisals. VowLedger adjusts for category, state or metro, guest count when relevant, and comparable named-venue pricing when available. Your vendor proposal remains the authoritative price.
How current is the named-venue price library?
The library currently contains 85 source-linked named-venue price records, with its latest update on September 16, 2026. Each record shows its own source and check date. A public price is still a snapshot, so confirm the current amount and scope directly with the venue.
Can a wedding vendor pay for a better ranking?
No. Advertising or payment cannot change a benchmark, venue fit score, comparison result or correction decision. Directory links are not endorsements.
What happens when the scanner is unsure about a quote?
It asks you to review unclear text and highlights suspicious price lines. Detected totals, categories and locations stay editable so you can correct the result before relying on the comparison.
Which hidden wedding fees does the scan look for?
