Quote files and pasted text

PDFs, images and pasted quote text are read and analyzed on your device. VowLedger does not upload or save the file, extracted quote text, detected prices or comparison result. Closing or refreshing the page clears the current scan.

Venue and location searches

Location matching runs in your browser against VowLedger’s own U.S. venue directory. Typed locations and device coordinates are not sent to an outside geocoding provider. Device location is used only after you choose “Use my location” and grant browser permission.

Your browser also stores successful location lookups locally for up to 30 days. This cache remains on your device and can be removed through your browser’s site-data controls. VowLedger does not intentionally log typed locations or precise coordinates.

Problem reports

If you send a correction or problem report, VowLedger stores the issue category, page, optional venue or vendor name, and the details you provide. Reports are used only to investigate and improve the service. Do not include contracts, payment details or other sensitive information.

If you deliberately choose “Anonymized quote research,” VowLedger may use the high-level facts you enter in aggregated research after you check the separate consent box. Do not submit a contract, names, contact information, signatures, account numbers or payment details. Ordinary correction and problem reports are not treated as research consent.

Reports are retained for up to 12 months after resolution, then deleted or anonymized. Hosting and security providers may temporarily process technical information such as an IP address to deliver the request and prevent abuse.

Optional analytics

When analytics is configured, VowLedger loads Google Analytics with analytics storage denied by default. In that state, Google receives limited cookieless measurements such as page views and broad product events, but VowLedger does not permit Analytics to read or write its analytics cookies. Product events can show that a scan started or completed, that a venue search completed, a result count and coarse guest-count, budget, confidence, page-count or file-size bands. Allowing analytics cookies improves aggregate visitor and session measurement.

Analytics is not sent the quote text, uploaded file, quoted total, venue name, street address, typed location or precise coordinates. VowLedger removes non-campaign query parameters from page URLs before sending a page view. Google may process device, browser and approximate-location information under the Google Privacy Policy. VowLedger disables Google Signals and advertising-personalization signals in its analytics configuration.

Browser storage

VowLedger uses local browser storage to remember your analytics choice and cache location results. This storage supports site functionality and is not used to build an advertising profile.

Hosting and security

VowLedger is hosted on Cloudflare infrastructure. Cloudflare processes ordinary request information needed to deliver and protect the site and may use essential security cookies when required. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

External links and future advertising

The site links to venue websites, maps, directories and research sources. Those services have their own privacy practices. VowLedger does not currently load advertising code. This policy and the consent controls will be updated before advertising technology is activated.
